When Daniel Negreanu came onto the scene, people knew that the game was on. Though Negreanu is known to be the funny guy at the table, he is also a formidable opponent that can sneak in attack plays when people least expect it. Daniel was born on July 26, 1974. Little do many people know, he was born in Ontario, Canada. Daniel Negreanu has managed to change his life dramatically and work through all of the difficulties that it took for him to make it where he is today, despite any shortcomings standing in the way. Daniel Negreanu has made a name for himself as one of the best poker players around and has shot his way up to poker stardom in no time. Starting from where it all began and going back to where Daniel first came onto the scene could serve as a good stepping stone toward finding out more about who he is and the person inside as well. As a teen, he chose to drop out of high school and put his energy into playing poker and learning more about the game so that he could earn more money. Though a career in professional poker may not have always been in the future for Daniel Negreanu, or at least anticipated, he has managed to break through and build up more success for himself than anyone could have imagined. Daniel Negreanu has traveled a long and bumpy road to get where he is and make it to the top. Many people will see poker stars like him and make the mistake of thinking that it is easy, yet, they could not be further from the truth – which most people will be able to tell you. Negreanu would practice playing poker for limitless hours on end when he knew that he wanted to play poker for the long haul and make a big difference. Known for his playful and funny demeanor and attitude at the poker tables, he goes by the nickname of “Kid Poker”. Playing in tournaments and small cash games would soon help Daniel in making a foundation of skill, which would be needed to strengthen how he played and build his status as a serious poker opponent. Daniel Negreanu has earned at least four WSOP bracelets and about thirty-four money finishes under his belt. Negreanu has made more than seven million dollars to add to his financial portfolio and continues to be yet another dominating force to be reckoned with in the world of poker. For Daniel Negreanu, getting good at poker is not something that happened overnight, but something hat necessitated hard work to achieve and long hours in order to get the hang of playing poker in a way that would improve and enhance his skill level, as well as developing his own unique style and techniques that would help to carry him up throughout his professional poker careers for the many years that were to come. He currently lives in Las Vegas with his wife.

I have to say I honestly think Daniel Negreanu HAD to make this call considering the size of the pot — but then again, if he would have been right — this would have been a killer laydown. This is why I love Daniel Negreanu — the man REALLY thinks about stuff.
