As a teen, he chose to drop out of high school and put his energy into playing poker and learning more about the game so that he could earn more money. Though a career in professional poker may not have always been in the future for Daniel Negreanu, or at least anticipated, he has managed to break through and build up more success for himself than anyone could have imagined. Daniel Negreanu has traveled a long and bumpy road to get where he is and make it to the top. Many people will see poker stars like him and make the mistake of thinking that it is easy, yet, they could not be further from the truth – which most people will be able to tell you. Negreanu would practice playing poker for limitless hours on end when he knew that he wanted to play poker for the long haul and make a big difference. Known for his playful and funny demeanor and attitude at the poker tables, he goes by the nickname of “Kid Poker”.
